Rajahai skittered to the side of the narrow hallway he was in, pressing himself flat against the wall to avoid being crushed by the large man that passed, growling as he left the Yuian Inn. His large yellow eyes studied the figure in curiosity as it muttered curses in its native language until the man opened the entrances door and left, slamming the door closed on the way out. Returning to the task at hand, Rajahai walked into the barely lit inn and walked over to the bar, rubbing his whiskers in a nervous habit. His gaze flitted quickly across the counter to find that it seemed no one was there to serve him, but he peered down over the counter to find the bar tender cleaning away the remains of a broken glass.
So what did I just miss? He said casually causing the bar man to straighten up suddenly, as if caught in the act of a crime. In actuality, it wasnt a man at all.
The woman sighed. Nothing unusual Raj, just an Orijian with a real bad attitude. She brushed a strand of chocolate-colored hair out of her face, revealing honey-colored skin and jade, green eyes. Rajahais tail swished behind him in annoyance.
Many Orijians are actually rather reasonable, despite what some people say about their race. You didnt invite him did you? Does he know anything? Rajahai asked in a hushed tone, his nose twitching as his cat-like ears shifted position on his head listening for any sound.
The girl chuckled lightly. Dont worry, you paranoid Eyitian. I have given no hint to your, ah, profession to anyone but your dear partner in the business. Now would you like something to drink? You look worn out.
Rajahai sighed and sat down on a nearby stool. Im sorry, Kithinla. You know how I get after a nights work.
Kithinla scowled. Kithinla, Kithinla. Honestly, can you never be informal? She grabbed an empty glass with a clawed hand and poured a drink into it. No matter how many time I ask you, you refuse to call me by any of my nicknames. Rajahai mumbled something unintelligible and rested his head on the counter. Oh you peeve me out sometimes. She growled and placed the glass next to him.
Rajahai laughed dryly. I peeve you? He lifted his head up long enough to drain the cup before laying his head on the wooden surface again. Norden. I thought they were going to catch me. I have never pulled one off that closely before
. His voice trailed off and he closed his eyes. His ears lay back against his head and he let the effects of the drink come to him.
You keep drinking this stuff as regularly as you do, youll end up addicted. Kithinla commented coldly. Rajahai grumbled. Come on. Lets get you to your room. A half-dead Eyitian laying around wont do my business good.
What will now a days, with all the Knulhian Czarks taxing us into the ground? I swear with the way this is going the Revipher galaxy will revolt, all of the Knulhian sector will lose all their power and the Ullithrians and Jzuians and all the other powers will fight over who gets control over us. It will be another universal war. Rajahai muttered, half asleep. He stood up, wobbling a bit and Kithinla rushed around the counter to help him stay on his feet as he walked to his room. The two walked in silence, Kithinla opening a door to the right of the room and they walked down a hallway with three battered doors along it. As they reached the second door, Rajahai pulled out a key that he kept in his pants pocket and placed it in a rusty keyhole under the doorknob. After a moment of fiddling, the pair heard a soft tick and the door swung open to reveal a small room with a shabby bed and a dusty bedside cabinet next to it that held only a small lamp atop of it.
Rajahai wandered over to the bed and turned on the light, causing shadows to dance about the room. He yawned, making his sharp teeth visible in the dull light, and then sat down on the bed that protested with a loud creaking noise. Kithinla sighed and leaned against the doorframe.
So what did you-She started but Rajahai stopped her.
If nothing can stop you from asking then please, the least you can do is close the door. The Farc have eyes, and ears everywhere, so if they detect even the smallest creature has heard or said something they shouldnt have
. He shook his head unable to continue.
Kithinla entered the room fully and closed the door almost silently behind her. Theyll never catch you. They havent from the start seven years ago and they wont now. She all but whispered.
Rajahai looked up, eyes drooping from the drug he had ingested. I walk. Every day, I walk. Past the mines, past the fields, to the factories where I work all day over wretched machines. And every day I walked past the prison and look at it and I see all the people in it. Some of them truly are nothing but monsters, like myself. But there are so many people in there that are innocent that have been locked away simply because the Czarks fear revolts and because the Farc have the authority of gods on Yu. The feline creature sighed and rested his head in his hands.
But, youre the Blitz the Uncatchable. Kithinla argued, walking over to the man and placed a hand on his shoulder. No one, god or otherwise, could ever catch the Blitz.
Rajahai closed his eyes and brushed Kithinlas hand off himself before laying down. They might never catch the Blitz, but there is always a chance that they will catch Rajahai. He muttered before falling asleep.
Kithinla sighed and left the room, locking the door behind her. And I still havent learned of what that Eyitian has got himself into this time.

Those who will not follow are doomed to lead.
I'll do a world overview in the second chapter if I ever get off my lazy ass to do it. I quite enjoy this story actually.
